“The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.” – William Shakespeare
What are Friends of Joy’s House Events?
Sometimes combining what we love to do with how we love to serve seems too good to be true. But at Joy’s House, it’s a great way for our supporters to find true joy in their giving. Whether it’s an art and canvas event, a Running for Joy event, or a porch party, this is an opportunity for you to help us spread our mission through our community and raise funds while doing something that brings you joy!
The proceeds from these individual or committee-led events go directly to our Guest Scholarship Program, which helps those who might not otherwise be able to benefit from Joy’s House services.
Don’t be afraid to think outside the box! Combine your love for food, clothes, accessories, exercise, or art, with your love for Joy’s House.
Examples of Past Friends of Joy’s House Events
Winterfest: Joy’s House was chosen as a Charity Partner for the 12th Annual Brewers of Indiana Guild Winterfest. We ran the coat check, gratefully accepted donations and tips, and the proceeds raised a total of $20,000! Thank you Winterfest and Brewers of Indiana Guild!
Tyler Automotive: Phil and Samantha Westrick set up a Friends of Joy’s House fundraiser to donate a percentage of parts and labor to support our mission. Thank you Phil, Samantha and Tyler Automotive for being great neighbors!
