20 Years is Not Enough

September 1, 2019

Friends,

20 years is not enough.

20 years of providing safety, care and community for our Guests is not enough. 20 years of supporting our caregivers with education, comfort and programs is not enough. We need at least 20 more years. Our Guests and caregivers need us. Our community needs us.

But Joy’s House is at risk. We are in a financial crisis and we need your help. Crisis is a big word, and we don’t take it lightly. But if we choose to not react, we would be forced to close, and that is an unthinkable option. The financial landscape for not-for-profit organizations like us has been tough. Foundational support, corporate giving, government reimbursement and individual contributions have been cut substantially. We need your help.

Today, we enter in to a critical fundraising campaign, which will run from now until November 1st. As you may know, November 1st is a very special day at Joy’s House; it was the day we opened our door 20 years ago! With your help, we will continue opening that door and welcoming in our Guests and caregivers for many more years to come.

Over the next eight weeks, we will be sharing more information and ways you can help with this campaign. Right now, you can help us spread the word by sharing this blog post. Every share, text or call spreading the word of this effort helps us tremendously.

As always, you can donate at any time at joyshouse.org.

Thank you for trusting us, believing in us and for agreeing that what we do is important and matters.

Thank you for your time and your action. We need it now more than ever.
