Love. Love. Love.
On opening day at Joy’s House, we were a little nervous. We didn’t know what the future would hold, but we knew that we had care in our hearts and support from the community. I will forever be grateful to Myra Borshoff who entrusted us with the care of her mother, Miss Grayce, our very first Guest (client). From the moment that Miss Grayce told us that she was (also!) nervous, I knew I wanted to keep her safe. When she smiled at me and her eyes lit up, she had my heart until she took her last breath. The love that I have for Miss Grayce continues through our mission and the families we serve, to this day. Love is interesting – no matter how much we give away, we somehow always have more. It’s like magic of the heart.
At Joy’s House, we have experienced a lot over the years – moments of joy, grief and growth. We can and will talk about what the future brings, but for now, I want to take a moment to celebrate the first 25 years of Joy’s House. And I want to settle into the fact that we are made up of millions of moments and that we are grateful for every. single. one. of. them.

25 years at Joy’s House

We were thrilled to welcome Katz, Sapper & Miller as the Presenting Sponsor of our 25th Anniversary Gala. Their support helped make the celebration possible, and we remain grateful for their belief in the mission of Joy’s House.
