Social activities and daily care in a non-medical environment.

Joy’s House offers a safe, caring and embracing environment for our guests.

At Joy’s House, we provide Adult Day Services for aging adults and those living with life-altering diagnoses. We call them our Guests, and they spend the day in a safe, welcoming space surrounded by friends, activities, and the kind of care that makes them feel valued.

Our staff are trained in CPR, First Aid, and safe transferring, and we operate as a non-medical program. The heart of our work is creating genuine connections and a community where Guests can take part in moments that bring purpose and joy.

While your loved one is here, you can step away knowing they are supported and included in a place where they belong.

Joy’s House staff can monitor medication for people who need it while at Joy’s House. This means we keep the medication in a locked cabinet, keep track of the time, and prompt them to take it at each dose. Each Guest must be able to pick up the medication and take the medication independently. We are a non-medical program so we cannot administer medication (like a nurse is allowed to do). We have a specific protocol to follow, and will make sure you have all this information when you enroll at Joy’s House.

Yes. We are happy to assist our Guests that need assistance in the restroom. It is our goal to make sure that our Guests are clean and comfortable at all times.

Joy’s House Values Every Individual

Every guest is treated with respect. Our Guests are our friends and we care about each person. Guests often times form bonds and friendships with each other that they may not have otherwise had. We get to know our Guests and offer unique opportunities for activities that give joy to their lives. At Joy’s House, Guests are all included and no one is alone!

Who We Serve

Eligible Guests are 18 and older with a life-altering diagnosis.

We welcome adults who need daytime care and connection, whether because of aging, a life-altering diagnosis, or other challenges that make it unsafe or difficult to stay home alone. Some join us to stay active and engaged, others to find community and a place that feels like their own.

Most of our Guests live at home with family, while others come from group homes or long-term care settings. Wherever they live, they are part of our Joy’s House family.

Guest Enrollment

We are here to help!

Start by clicking the “Get Started” button below and filling out our inquiry form. Once we receive it, our team will call to learn more about the potential Guest and share how Joy’s House can meet their needs.

From there, we schedule a visit to Joy’s House for a tour and complete a Guest assessment. This assessment gives us a clear picture of the individual’s needs and preferences so we can provide care that fits them well.
