(POSTPONED) Going, Going, Gone! A Live Auction Comedy to Benefit Joy’s House

November 14, 2017

PLEASE NOTE: The December 3 showing of this event has been postponed to a future date to be determined later. Tickets already purchased will be refunded in full.

COME DO OUR BIDDING! “Going Going Gone” brings its live auction comedy to Joy’s House on Dec. 3rd! Family-friendly improv comedy in which the audience plays a part.

“Going…Going… Gone,” the live auction comedy that has become a staple for area theatregoers, lets the audience get in on the fun. It takes place on the final night at Ed’s Auction House. Ed passed away and those close to him must sell his last worldly possessions. How? By having the audience bid on items using fake money they got when they entered the theatre. This long-form improv show unfolds as the actors learn along with the audience what items must be auctioned off – and create the stories behind those items. Audience members who place winning bids take their purchases home!

What? A one-of-a-kind, kid-friendly, improv play and auction at Joy’s House? Yep! It’s going to be EPIC. In addition to fantastic entertainment by local improv actors who will be our “auctioneers” for the evening, you’ll have the chance to take home some exciting and appealing auction loot with your auction bucks (included with your ticket price). Also available is a pre-show silent auction where you can score some additional goodies, so feel free to bring some “real” bucks, too (or checks/credit cards). We’ll supply snacks and refreshments. You supply the audience participation!

Why? Help us support our Joy’s House family and provide Guest Scholarships to those in need. All proceeds help families send their loved ones to Joy’s House, families who otherwise might not be able to afford our services.
