Joy’s House at UIndy Celebrates 11 Years of Care and Community
Indianapolis, Indiana – This summer, Joy’s House proudly celebrates the 11th anniversary of its second adult day location, Joy’s House at UIndy. Located on the campus of the University of Indianapolis, the house opened on July 1, 2014, continuing Joy’s House’s mission to serve adults living with life-altering diagnoses and their caregivers.
Located on the campus of the University of Indianapolis, this location offers a home-like environment where Guests are welcomed with respect and safety. Family caregivers receive trusted respite care and ongoing support from a team that understands the challenges they face.
Joy’s House President and CEO Maggie Blake shared, “Our UIndy location means so much to this community. You can feel the history in the house and the love that’s been poured into it. After 11 years, it’s still growing in the most beautiful ways. I’m thankful to be part of that.”
Since its opening, the UIndy location has served many families in south Indianapolis. The program has grown through strong partnerships with the University of Indianapolis, support from donors, and the dedication of staff and volunteers who believe in the mission.
This anniversary is part of a larger moment for Joy’s House, which will celebrate 25 years of service in 2025. As the organization looks ahead, it remains committed to caring for adults and standing alongside their caregivers with empathy and love.
