Over the last few months we’ve been working on a project called Gifts from the Guests. This has allowed us to bring local artists, volunteers, our Guests and staff together to collaborate on making unique pieces of art that we will share as gifts with special friends and supporters in the Indianapolis community, and beyond. We’ve worked with clay and carefully applied acrylics to canvas. And sometimes, not so carefully, to our coats and the carpet. We’ve critiqued our own work, and complimented each other’s. And let’s not forget the dance party!

This project has connected us and made us closer. It has brought some of us out of our comfort zones. And on the days we didn’t feel like engaging, knowing that the end result was meant for the greater good, we pressed on for something bigger than ourselves.
